The Woodland Beauty

Nestled within a tiny valley along the Lede River is this magnificent and luxuriously Manoir built during 1571 until 1645 in three stages, with may authentic features which have been lovingly preserved. The area offers tranquillity, charming vistas and a very pleasant climate. A beautiful 3-hectare park is kept in a verity of manicured, natural and forested settings and a potager perfect for strolling, sitting, reading, picnics and parties. There are many prestige trees, flower and specimen plants. Château de woodlandbeauty is maintained to highly exacting standards. Located on the circuited des Bastide et Manoir and in close proximity to the very desirable locales of S.W.France. Monflanquin is situated 4 kilos.

The accommodation comprises of 4 double rooms each with its own bathroom. 2 Kings size bedrooms with gorgeous bedding, 1 Double Queen size bed with gorgeous Pomerania Down bedding, 1 full double bedroom with feather bed and gorgeous Ralph Lauren bedding. Library, Games/Cinema room Games Lounge opposite the Grand Dining room, with pool table, card table gothic chandelier and comfortable furnishings. Wonderful fitted Kitchen with two refrigerators, ice maker, laundry facililities.

Outside – pool, patio furnishings barbeque, Trek bikes, boat with oars. Daily housekeeping, fax machine, limited shuttle service, very near Golf and Tennis, with full service spa and Gym. Horse riding, Biking. Fine French formal dinners can be arranged at a separate cost and must be reserved in advance of arrival. Bergerac, Cahors, St. Emilion, Bordeaux are all within easy access.

Myself, Husband and and two children Alex and Amber stayed at the Chateau de Trieux for the first three months of July. During this time we had my parents, my parents in law, 3 brothers in law and 5 nieces / nephews come and stay at various stages of the three weeks.

Every single one of us (19 in total) had an absolutely superb holiday. Not one of us could find fault with anything during the time we stayed there. The location was beautiful, the accomodation quite luxurious and the amenities complete there was practically nothing we could want for.

However, what MADE the holiday was Suzanne and Andy - not only did our two babies love them. They were the perfect hosts. There were there when we needed them, they provided everything we wanted and left us to enjoy our time when we needed.

They recommended a fantastic Chef - Viv - and we enjoyed fabulous cuisine in a beautiful setting all of which was organised by Suzanne. We simply had to turn up in the impressive dining room and eat the culinary delights.

The housekeeping / managing of the house was done by quickly, efficiently and invisibly. It was fantastic to come in after a couple of hours by the pool to find the place spotless.

The grounds and pool was managed beautifully by Andy and his local knowledge of both the Chateau and it's history was vast and extremely interesting. We feel on some occasions they went over and above the call of duty so to speak. We highly recommend the Chateau (mainly due to Suzanne and Andy). Although the house is quite beautiful too.

This was one of the most amazing and memorable holidays our family will have and it will be difficult if not impossible to top.
