The History of Hideaways en France.
Hideaways en France Limited began to formulate gradually when we started by renting a privately owned villa to holiday makers. The first letting was an immediate success and as news spread, this was immediately followed by another villa to rent and then by three more. The second year started with those 5 properties and we were able to increase business by offering and implementing complete house management. More villas to rent arrived on the portfolio and with this increase, we were able to steadily built up a team of contacts to assist as and when necessary.
As business grew by word of mouth we realised that virtually all the work was confined to a period of May to September - we needed to expand the operation. This need coincided with being offered a very attractive and elegant French Chateau to rent. It gave rise to the idea of arranging weddings We marketed this and were rewarded by the first wedding booking. A couple who lived in the USA/Thialand booking via the internet. We then contacted and appointed an assistant, with many years experience in Weddings & Corporate to organise the complete affair from collection at the airport, wedding ceremony, all the catering, supplying local wines & champagnes, waitress service together with marquees for the reception, evening entertainment, flowers, firework display and supplying half bottles of local wine with special wedding labels for each guest, local accommodation for extra guests and finally return transport to the airport. Further chateau owners contacted Hideaways to have their Luxury Chateaux added to the portfolio. It is our desire to take as much advantage of these beautiful buildings as possible. With our Agent so close to some of the Chateaux, we can guarantee a very high standard of personal service.
How we are now
It is felt that our choice to make the change from individual villa lettings to Chateau Rentals for Holidays & Weddings was a sound one, having received many Wedding bookings from the USA, Canada, Norway, Cayman Islands, and also the UK.
Nevertheless, the change has not yet completed its full circle. Entry into the market of Corporate Hospitality, Incentive Travel, Product Promotions, Film Location, Film Shoots, Fashion Shoots, Workshop & Business Meetings has proved to be a good move, in as much as it has given us and our team confidence, strength and reliability to be able to build an excellent reputation in dealing with larger numbers of people. Our portfolio of ‘Hideaways’ elegant Chateaux, which are personally selected and personally inspected, offer luxury, fantastic views of the French countryside, excellent restaurants and vineyards with wine that flows in abundance .
